Idawire's Girls



We do not have a large breeding kennel. Our dogs are part of our family, and we like to give them a lot of attention, so we are careful to keep our population down to only a few dogs. We are lucky that we are able to co-own some of our dogs with other breeders, allowing us to breed to some of our outstanding Idawire dogs, without having to keep them in kennels. We know that our dogs have good temperaments because we live with them every day.

Dunnit has been a superstar in the show ring, and in the field. At her first show, she was Reserve Winners Bitch at the 2017 GWPCA National specialty! The following weekend, she was Best of Breed over 5 specials for her second major win! She finished her show championship with a 5-point major at 9 months of age. Dunnit was competitive in Puppy and Derby stakes, and has been a very competitive gun-dog, completing her Field Championship and Amateur Field championship in a little over a year. She ended 2020 as the GWPCA #1 Combined Gun Dog and in 2022 she won the GWPCA National Field Championship!

We're pleased with how Jingle is growing up--she is the perfect combination of her sire Grizwold and her dam, Mavis. She is super birdy and she looks like she is going to have a stylish point. She has a great coat and a sweet personality--she's never met a stranger. She is very bold and isn't afraid of anything.


Jingle finished her show championship easily, and she's placed in each stake she's run at GWPCA Nationals--4th in the 2021 Puppy Classic, 2nd in the 2022 GWPCA Derby and 2nd in the 2022 Field Futurity. Jingle has completed her training "whoa" training for field trails, and will begin competing once she is recovered from having her current litter.

Muppet is our new pup and she started her field trial career with a "bang" by winning the 2023 GWPCA Puppy Classic at Nationals! She has a very stylish point and has a lot of "go" in the field. And, this girl LOVES the water! She has a nice coat and is very sweet. We're looking forward to seeing how she grows up and what she can do!
